artist's statement and biographical information:
Before and after giving birth, I had a fascination and affinity for the pregnant form. Thus, I hired hefty pregnant women to model for me wherever I lived and worked. Some of my paintings are humorous, outrageous and purely decorative, but in essence comprise my own special palette and design that I hope complements that precious form that holds such magic to which most of us can relate. When we think about the mysterious interior of the womb, the recursive aspects are astounding. . . ancestors behind the infant and those ahead.
